I began photographing on film, where slowing down and paying close attention shaped the way I see people and moments. That foundation still guides how I show up on wedding days — present, engaged, and instinctively attuned to what’s unfolding in between.
I’m drawn to clean composition, natural movement, and moments that unfold with ease — the kind that happen when people feel fully present with one another.
More than anything, I’m paying attention to connection — the way people reach for each other, laugh without thinking about how it looks, and settle into the rhythm of the day.
Often, it’s the in-between moments that stay with us the longest — the familiar glance, the shared humor, the quiet joy that feels effortless and entirely your own.
My presence on a wedding day is calm, intuitive, and genuinely uplifting. I keep things feeling natural, bring a light sense of humor when it helps everyone relax, and know when to offer guidance and when to step back.
Couples often tell me they feel completely comfortable with me there — supported, at ease, and free to enjoy the day as it unfolds. That comfort is what allows the most real, meaningful moments to surface.
If this feels like the experience you want for your wedding day, I’d love to hear about what you’re planning.

I’m Elyse — a photographer, wife, and mom.
Life is full and deeply grounding, shared with my husband Jeff (we’ve been together since college), our girls Olive and Lucy, and our golden doodles, Paco and Gus.
Photography has been part of my life for a long time. I earned a BFA in Photography from Arizona State University, and I’ve spent nearly two decades photographing weddings — work that has shaped the way I see, long before weddings became my focus, and continues to guide everything I create today.
My approach is rooted in light, composition, and moments that feel honest and lived-in. I value presence — knowing when to offer guidance and when to step back — so couples can stay connected to what’s unfolding around them, without feeling pulled out of it.
At the heart of it, I care deeply about people and the stories they carry. That care — and the quiet trust that builds when someone feels truly seen — is what continues to draw me to this work year after year.
“Our photographs look like they belong in a magazine, yet they still feel completely us. Elyse is pure magic.”
— Sara & Henry, Past couple
“Every time we look at our photos, we’re transported right back. The emotion is still there.”
— Allie, Past bride
If you feel a connection to what you’ve seen here — to the emotion, the atmosphere, and the way these moments are preserved — I’d love to hear more about what you’re planning.
